We found out just hours after I made that last post but wanted to wait until today to make the announcement. But Eduardo is ready for release in N. America: next monday! Just 800 points. Not bad, eh?
Thanks man, I hope you get a kick out of it. Try to get some friends together for some four player action and turn on that friendly fire (like the game recommends) if you can. :D
Thanks Olimar. I'll probably give it a shot and apply in early August and hope for the best. I would love to apply right now but I have to finish my thesis to obtain my Master's Degree since the past few months were preeeetty loaded at work and I couldn't get much done... so right now I have to play catch up and finish it so I can get my degree in September-Octobre at the most.
So Daniel, I was checking some of the screenshots and videos of Eduardo just for kicks and I really have to hand it to you: the art is great and it boggles my mind how you managed to keep the quality of it and still be below the 40 MB size limit on Wiiware.
Rumor has it that Nintendo will up the size limit at the Tokio Game Show to 60-80 MB thanks to the availability of the SD Card Channel. Hopefully this rumor proves true so you can apply that extra 20-40 MB into your next game.
That'd be grand, though I think there may be a technical limitation with 40MB being the largest size a single executable file or something for the Wii can be. I could be mistaken. We just have to work around the limitations, at any rate.
Thanks for the kind words though. If you dig the video you should like it better on your tv. We couldn't get good quality direct feed so all of the video is interlaced, and much lower quality than it really is. And olimar, unfortunately I don't know how to get early review code for anyone. But send me an email, perhaps we can figure something out.
No idea, all depends on how soon we can afford it and how long the entire process takes. It's certainly more complicated with all the ratings and translations.
Mr. Coleman, I've just been to Semnat Studios's website, and you don't seem to have contact information there for journalists. I'd like to ask you a few questions about Eduardo for OMGNintendo.com, part of the GamePro network.

Soo no one has been assigned to review it at Nintendo Life yet?
BTW Olimar_91, what are the requirements to actually be part of Nintendo Life and be able to do reviews? You know, out of curiosity...

I'm not North American enough for Eduardo the Samurai Toaster. :(
Any clues on the European release, Mr. Coleman Sir? :)
